Experience
At age 17, Alfred Eames traveled to Spain’s Rioja region, where he immersed himself in traditional European winemaking. That experience shaped his lifelong commitment to old-world methods and minimal intervention. He was one of the first to establish a vineyard in Colorado's North Fork Valley.
Old World Tradition
Alfred Eames produces old-world style wines using estate-grown Pinot Noir and the rare Carmine grape alongside high-altitude Spanish and French varieties. Each bottling reflects a commitment to heritage techniques and expressive terroir.

Our Tasting Room at Zenzen Gardens
Our tasting room is open daily from 12 PM – 6 PM from May 1 – November 1 at Paonia’s peaceful and welcoming Zenzen Gardens. Guests are invited to enjoy a glass of wine in a stunning setting under Colorado skies beneath the majestic West Elks Mountain Range.
